Christine and I are both keen on Family History.  You will find details under both our names, split into maternal and paternal branches of the family.    Christine has updated the Wake family tree and added a branch showing her connection to the Kings of England.  We are therefore 19th cousins once removed - apart from being married!  The website has been extensively modified to show Shared Ancestors in a new format.  On these pages use the "i" symbol to link to the detail of a particular family and use the orange boxes to link to another family tree.  The search facility has now been re-instated.

We both enjoy cycling and most of our riding is done on a tandem.  We have taken tandem holidays in Ireland, Switzerland and Italy.  See the Tandem pages for the Italy adventure.

We have now completed both the English and Scottish sections of our Cathedral tour of the UK.  We cycled from Canterbury to Berwick on Tweed - over three separate weeks in 2007 and from Berwick upon Tweed to the Orkneys in 2008 - the story of this is on the Tandem pages.

In April/May of 2004 I (Tony) cycled from Land's End to John o' Groats and you can find the story of this under my pages.  I have done various cycling trips with my friend Tony Wallis over recent years.  In 2013 we completed the End to End raising money for Inter Care - see my pages for these stories.

In May 2017, Tony Wallis and I cycled from St Malo on the English Channel to Narbonne on the Mediterranean a journey of about 700 miles.  We raised money for Intercare and also for Lawrence House - which is a local charity. Click on this "LINK" to re-direct to the blog of the trip.

We have three children Cara, Peter and Ellen - all grown up and living away from home.  Cara and husband Colin have two children Peter and Daniel.  Ellen and Mike have a daughter, Abigail and a son Jervis.  Peter and Trina have a son, Adam and twin girls Megan and Amy.
