Llywelyn was Prince of Gwynedd (All Wales). The name of his first wife is unknown. His second wife was Joan of England, the illegitimate daughter of King John and his mistress Clementia Pinel. He married her in 1205. Llywelyn had several mistresses and Margaret his daughter was as a result of one of these liaisons.
